Gratitude and Celebration

The practice of gratitude has become synonymous with a healthy mind, body, and soul. The benefits of regularly tuning into a perspective of gratitude are powerful. But, what if we can exponentially increase the impact of our gratitude practice by openly expressing our gratitude to others, and even celebrating the people we are so grateful for?

One of my favorite Ted Talks is called Everyday Leadership by a guy named Drew Dudley.  Drew talks about what he calls Lollipop moments – these moments where we do something incredibly simple – something we may not even remember – that profoundly impacts someone else’s life.  These lollipop moments are the moments we all hold so dear when we practice our gratitude. These seemingly simple moments through which we’ve been touched by someone leave an indelible print on our lives.

Drew ends his talk with a challenge: if someone has made a difference in your life, tell them. Celebrate them. Do not go one more minute without expressing your gratitude for every single person who has helped make you who you are today. Celebrate them: loudly, generously, and fantastically because it is through recognizing how extraordinarily powerful we can be in each other’s lives that we unleash our collective influence to make our world a better place.

Today, we invite you to pick someone to celebrate, be grateful for, and share a gift with them to let them know they are cherished.  We have some ideas below for you!

Grateful + Hopeful,
